I think these will be the last wrap up articles regarding the Dairyland closing. This one ran today, and based on my returning the reporters call this morning, it sounds like he's going to do a follow up from an adoption perspective tomorrow or Saturday. If someone can grab that link to that second article and post it here that would be great, as I'll be unable to check for it until Monday.

Thanks for posting the link, John.

I just want to clarify 2 things from the article. First, I did not say dogs came back to Wisconsin because they were "rejected" from other tracks in Florida. I said they were all ready retired. Scheesh.

Secondly, just to be clear. I never invite reporters or media people out to Emerald. I feel we have a responsibility to Huns and his family to keep them out of the media, actually - for their safety and the safety of the dogs. I am currently inquiring with the newspaper and Huns how they got permission to be there. I just wanted to put that out there so that all of you reading this know that GPA-WI's stance is generally not to reveal or invite people to Emerald, especially media - and I didn't want you to think that we have changed that policy. We haven't.

All in all, a pretty nice article about the surge in apps. We still have about 60 application in process that will be getting dogs in the weeks and months ahead, so that is a very good thing! Very Happy
