There is a possible temp-to-hire position that Kelly Services put me in for. The person at the company appears to be busy because it has taken her a month to finally accept resumes after first inquiring with Kelly about getting an employee through them. I will give Kelly Services a call tomorrow for an update.

Another temp firm contacted me regarding a long-term temporary position with an ag producer (I could not get a name but it is is Wisconsin Rapids and their main crop is cranberries with other crops and products. I am pretty sure I know what company it is.)

I had a telephone interview yesterday with a local manufacturer in town and the interview lasted almost an hour.

Tomorrow I have a telephone interview with a local credit union in town. I am surprised I was even contacted because the first requirement is a high school diploma and I have a BS in Accounting. I was sure they would think I was over qualified and totally ignore me.

Well, I knew I wouldn't get the credit union job and their call confirmed it.
The temp-to-hire through Kelly Services is a no go.
The temp-to-hire through ABR has been changed to a shipping/receiving temporary position to start at the end of September during harvest and does not include Accounting.

Now I just wait for the manufacturer in Marshfield.

Roy's job is going to be history the end of September (possibly the end of October, but no later). He is working for a defense contractor at Fort McCoy and the contractor's contract was not renewed. He has been applying like crazy directly with the Army for positions they are posting that are supposedly going to replace the contractor's positions. Let's hope one of them comes through.
